Manolito Petersen (aka "Treppistoni") was born into a musical family, between concerts in Verona in the late sixties.
From an early age he showed such a precociously disturbed musical talent that his worried father insisted the boy take music lessons.
After several months of intense formal tuition Manolito learnt to play the trumpet, an instrument that he soon became totally obsessed by. As time went by lessons and scales became more important than anything else but sadly the high licks and maniacal trills of this infant prodigy were to be his undoing. In the hot summer of '83 the neighbourhood, tired, nervy and exasperated, moved against the young musician and he was charged with no less than 95 charges of breach of the peace. This and the squalid succession of two-bit orchestras that followed plunged the teenage Petersen into a desperate depression which eventually lead to his now famous flight across the Atlantic.
First disembarking in New Orleans, Petersen then made his way to Puerto Escondido in Mexico, where he moved in various new musical circles and directions.
After years of busking in the subway in Tucson, Arizona, in 2000 Manolito came back to Italy, where after a gig in a local club he was accosted by the members of the JCO. Using first psychological then physical persuasion, our boys eventually convinced him to become an official member of the combo. Manolito still recalls the events of that evening as if it were yesterday: "Sure I remember, I'll carry the scars I got that night to my grave..:!
But he left JCO in early 2002 and replaced by Kenny L., Sax player. Now Manolito plays kazoo in an underground beat combo.
